World’s Youngest Graduate

Laurent Simons, a nine-year-old Belgian student will soon become the youngest university graduate in the world. He is studying electrical engineering under the statesmanship of Professor Peter Baltus at the University of Technology in Eindhoven, Netherlands. About the post-graduation plans Laurent said, “I am planning to start my PhD and study a little medicine”.

Presently, the youngest person to obtain a college degree is American Michael Kearney. This milestone was achieved by Michael Kearney in June 1994 at the age of 10 years 4 months . . .
